Nxtium International Scholarship Program (NISP)
Overview
The Nxtium International Scholarship Program (NISP) offers a unique opportunity for outstanding scholars from selected countries* who are eager to enhance their Academic English skills in pursuit of postgraduate education.
Award recipients are chosen through a global, annual, and competitive application process. The NISP provides a limited number of awards each cycle. The 2024–2025 award cycle is now closed, with applications for the 2025–2026 cycle opening in early July 2025.
Currently, NISP is available to applicants from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Kenya, Kyrgyz Republic, Madagascar, Mozambique, Pakistan, Syria, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Uzbekistan, and Uganda. Additionally, applicants originally from these countries residing in Canada, France, Portugal, and the USA are eligible to apply.

Applications are managed by local units of the Nxtium International Scholarship Program (NISP).
Award Conditions
NISP awards are structured as a 50/50 split between grant and loan—you are required to repay 50% of the award amount. Scholarships for Master’s and PhD studies cover the entire duration of the degree program. For Academic English students, scholarships are awarded for the first year only, after which you are expected to secure alternative funding.
The award covers international travel, tuition fees, health insurance, and living expenses. It does not cover costs for clothing, furniture, or living expenses for family members.
To maintain your NISP award, you must demonstrate good academic standing and ongoing financial need throughout your program
